This piece captures a raw, joyful memory from growing up—what we called Throw ‘em Up, Bust ‘em Up or throw up tackle. No teams. No rules. Just a ball, a group of kids, and sometimes the street as our field. It was chaotic, fun, loud and bruising. But it taught us toughness, and how to get back up. I painted this to honor those moments of freedom before life got heavy. Before bills, loss, labels, etc….we had games like this that shaped us. This is a tribute to that energy.
